San Juan Boat Works is owned and operated by Ray, a highly experienced marine technician with over 36 years of hands-on experience in the marine industry.

Ray began his career working on boats and marine engines in Miami, later expanding his expertise across the Canary Islands, Barcelona, and Menorca (Spain). For the past 10 years, he has been based in the San Juan Islands, providing dependable marine service tailored to local waters and conditions.

He spent nearly a decade at Philbrook’s Boatyard in Roche Harbor, one of the region’s most respected marine facilities, servicing a wide range of vessels.

Ray holds certifications from Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki, and has extensive experience with MerCruiser and Volvo Penta sterndrive systems, as well as diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
